Certificate Course in Evidence Based Management of Diabetic Retinopathy - CCDR

About Monitoring

Monitoring & Evaluation Mechanism

CCDR aims to follow a robust Monitoring Mechanism during the entire course cycle spread across four consecutive months (February 2016 - May 2016). For effective performance management, a rigorous and Real time Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Mechanism has been designed. The detailed Monitoring Plan constitutes of Baseline Evaluation, Regular Monthly Evaluation and End line Evaluation. A dual mechanism has been adopted for Regular Monthly Evaluation where both offsite and onsite monitoring will be carried out. Onsite Monitoring consisting of regular visits to the centres and "SMS Real Time Monitoring" mechanism, will be carried out by Observers.

The total number of centers which are going to be observed onsite will be 01-02 per month. Similarly 2 participant from various centers which were not monitored onsite will be called once in a month as a part of offsite monitoring by CCDR Program Secretariat. This is critical for successful implementation of the program as it will synthesize evidence regarding the challenges faced by centre faculty, participants of the program and to gather feedback from all stakeholders regarding the program. Timely solutions to the challenges will be crucial to maintain interest and reduce attrition of the Primary Care Physicians in the program.
